On the 15th of December, as sHR. team, with the hosting of Bilgi University Psychology Club, we were at Bilgi University for the “Career Planning in Psychology: HR” event which aims to make the university students more aware in career planning and development in different areas of psychology discipline with a narrowed topic. For this time, the topic was HR. The psychologists in the field of HR, Özlem Yürekli (sHR), Melis Acar (B/S/H), Meral Altındağ (HSBC) and Vice Secretary General of FMV Işık University Hakan Kapucu were invited to this panel by TPÖÇG Internship Platform and TPÖÇG Istanbul to share their career journey, experiences & their knowledge about career planning.

 

The first speaker, Recruitment Professional at B/S/H, Melis Acar talked about her career journey, how to decide what is the right career path, what to do and say in interviews and played an interview simulation. Second speaker, Vice Secretary General of FMV Işık University, Hakan Kapucu, gave a training about interviews and preparation of CVs. Third speaker, Talent Miner at sHR, Özlem Yürekli talked about her career path, “talent mining” approach in IT recruitment, following a career as an IT /Tech Recruiter consultant and gave students an inspiration about not giving up. And the last speaker Meral Altındağ, talked about working as a psychologist in an HR department and different aspects of being an HR consultant and corporate HR professional.

All in all, it was great for us to be with TPÖÇG at Bilgi University and make a contribution to such a great panel composed of great people! We sincerely thank to TPÖÇG Internship Platform and TPÖÇG Istanbul.
