sHR. was at the Global Day of Coderetreat 2018!
On the 17th of November, as sHR. team, we were at Sony Eurasia for the “Global Day of Coderetreat” which aims to practice and focus on the fundamentals of software development, away from the pressures of “getting things done”.
Developers from different companies gathered together to practice “code kata” with the “peer programming” method on “Conway’s Game of Life”. Lemi Orhan Ergin introduced each session and retrospective time in the program. He explained Test Driven Development (TDD), 4 rules of simple design: Test pass, Express intent, No duplication, Small.
Global Day of Coderetreat 2018 was hosted by “Software Craftsmanship Turkey”. We sincerely thank to Software Craftsmanship Turkey, Sony Eurasia, Trendyol, Craftbase, and Agile Turkey for creating this great atmosphere. It was great to be there with passionate and wonderful developers.
We attended to GDCR2018 since, as sHR, we believe that it is important for IT Recruiters to be in the field to learn technical subjects in detail instead of just sitting in front of a computer screen to search for candidates. Being surrounded by technical knowledge is a key criterion for successful IT/Tech Recruiters.
