On the 23rd of November, almost 40 METU’s esteemed Alumni met with junior & senior psychology students at the “Speed Networking” event organized jointly by METU Career Planning Application and Research Center (METU CPC) and Alumni Office. Our Talent Miner, Özlem Yürekli was invited to this special event which was the second time “Speed Networking” activity in METU alumni-student format carried out under the guidance of Assist. Prof. Adil Oran. (The first one was conducted for Economics Department).

All of the alumni are practitioners working in the field (HR professionals working in the corporate world, career advisors, clinical psychologists, therapist etc.) In a given time, alumni and students came together around the foyer area tables to exchange information. At the end of series of brief exchanges, students questioned their career plans more, learned new career alternatives and gained vision. After the meeting, the cocktail took place in which participants had the opportunity to continue their talks.

All in all, it was a pleasure to be invited & to make a contribution to such a great event composed of great people! We thank to Prof. Dr. Sibel Kazak Berument, Chair, Department of Psychology.
