sHR. was at ITU to Meet Computer Engineering Students for the Fourth Time
On the 3rd of May, sHR. was at ITU to meet Computer Engineering students for the fourth time. Asst. Pr. Dr. Gökhan İnce invited us to give a workshop about technology, innovation and entrepreneurship like we did in the past (in 2014–15–16).
Like as technology evolves every year, generations of students does the same. They change and adopt new characteristics. So, as sHR. we believe that, it is important to catch up with them and get to know the youth of our society every year. Like catching up is important, giving an effort to shape the youth is important too. To widen the perspectives of ITU 3rd and 4th year Computer Engineering students, we designed an extraordinary course that is away from the pressures of bombarding students with the information.
First of all, we talked about entrepreneurship. We explained who an entrepreneur is and what the challenges are to be a successful entrepreneur. After that we talked about perspective and how it affects the course of your life. As sHR. we believe that being able to look at a certain situation from different angles is a critical skill. Since we were talking about innovation and entrepreneurship, we emphasized the importance of “adapting to change” competancy in entrepreneurialism . Last of all, we explained the “three scenarios for the future of work” and concluded the presentation part.
Since we know learning is multidimensional, we didn’t wanted to end the course with just a presentation and added also an interactive game part. Our pick of interactive game was marshmallow challenge. Below you can see some photos from the game played:
All in all, it was great for us to be with ITU CE students and make a contribution to such a great course composed of great people!
