sHR. gave a conference talk about “Innovation” at ITU!
On 25th of April, as sHR, we were invited by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) to EEB Ömer Korzay Hall in order to give a conference talk titled as “From Academia to Industry: Tracing innovation through discourses”. The talk was given by our talent miner Cansu Guner-Birdal (Ph.D. Candidate).
The main focus of the talk was about production and reproduction of discourses on innovation. In the talk, main discourses of innovation were captured, best practices and ways to circulate them were discussed, designers and users of innovation were reexamined, start-up culture along with culture of failing was questioned, and political aspects of innovation were elaborated.
We would like to thank to students of ITU, Faculty of Computer and Informatics Engineering Department for cultivating an informed discussion on the subject. We also sincerely thank to Asst. Prof. Dr. Gökhan İnce and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hatice Köse for their invitation and hearty hospitality.
