Technical Product Manager!

 

Job Description

Our customer develops end-to-end payment platform from payment terminal to back-end servers. They provide innovative payment solutions involving very modern technology and design for needs of banks, fin-techs and retailers. They are expert on solutions for cashless payment transactions that the banking/financial sector needs, such as contactless & contact credit cards and payment terminals. The line-up of products covers all solutions from hardware to software, including operating system of a terminal, EMV schemes, banking / payment applications, security / cryptography and back-end servers for payment platform.

We are looking for strong Technical Product Managers to join the product development team who can bridge business, engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.

The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing products throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept definition and requirements gathering to development, certification, production, and market launch.

They will work closely with software, hardware, mechanical, certification, operations, business development, and external engineering partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product requirements, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Translate business needs into clear product specifications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including hardware, software, QA, certification, operations, and external suppliers.
  • Manage product development timelines, deliverables, and risks.
  • Support product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Manage relationships with international suppliers, engineering partners, and certification bodies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of professional experience in engineering, product development, system design, product management, or related technical roles; preferably in hardware-based products
  • Engineering background preferred (Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer, Industrial, or related disciplines).
  • Strong understanding of hardware product development processes.
  • Ability to review and understand electronic schematics and PCB layouts; hands-on design experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing mechanical design activities and coordinating with mechanical engineering and industrial design teams.
  • Experience working with ODM/OEM manufacturers and external engineering partners.
  • Experience managing suppliers and development teams, particularly in China, is a big plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • No restrictions on international business travel.

  • Are capable of understanding technical trade-offs and challenging engineering decisions when necessary.
  • Take ownership and drive execution rather than simply coordinating activities.
  • Thrive in fast-paced and growing organizations.
  • Are comfortable working primarily from the office in a highly collaborative environment.

Important Note

We are not looking for project coordinators, business analysts, or purely process-driven program managers.

We are specifically looking for Technical Product Managers who can take ownership of complex hardware-based products, make prioritization decisions, understand technical trade-offs, and drive execution across engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.

Candidates with backgrounds in Electronics Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related technical disciplines are highly preferred.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable discussing electronic schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical design considerations, manufacturing constraints, and supplier-related technical decisions with engineering teams and external development partners.
